This tournament features the champions of the BCHL, AJHL, SJHL, MJHL, and the Estevan Bruins.

The tournament will be held in April and concluded in May 2016.

The winner of the tournament and the winner of the consolation game earn spots in the Royal Bank Cup which is the National Championship which is taking place in Lloydminister in 2016.

Co-Chairs for the tournament include Areshenkoff, Ray Frehlick, Barry Bridges, and Warren Waldegger who is also acting as the treasurer.

Areshenkoff noted during his speech they have a number of immediate priorities.

This includes them developing the tournament organizational chart and recruit a team leader for each sub-committee.

Also being able to develop processes which ensure the financial accountability of the event.

The estimated value of the event is $750,000.

On the hockey side of things, hosting the tournament will guarantee the Bruins a spot in the tournament.

" I think by the end of this season we will be more then competitive which will lead into the 2015-2016 season where we will be more competitive. " said Estevan Bruins Head Coach and General Manager Chris Lewgood after the conference.

With the Bruins guaranteed a spot in the tournament they know they will have a chance to go to the RBC Cup, however as Lewgood explained they don't want to go in the back door.

" From a management and a hockey standpoint we don't plan on taking the back door into this thing are goal every night is to win hockey games and moving forward towards the event we plan on winning our way there and building a successful team that will not only compete but move on to the RBC. "

The event will begin at the end of April 2016 and finish up in the beginning of May.
