good for him, he played well and westside deserved the win. We played like a team who would sooner be an audience to what is happening rather than a team who cares???? Vernon Vipers do you really give a shit about your team , about your teammates.??? Because when I hear your coach talking about players who are just there for the ride. Well, you should PUKE, over your attitude. You are not worthy of shit. If I was your coach you would have been down the road long time ago. At this time of year, get your ass in gear and start playing like a pro., Rather than a lazy slug. GO, Vipers, Go.

Another comment which is important. Vipers fans, we had some shitty teams of players over the last couple of year. No Excuses. They where the shits. This year we have a team which could do great things. , We have lost 400 season tickets holders . Well our owner due to his loyalty issue didn't help. Comment, When the hockey team playing in the civic arena were only averaging 400 fans maybe. A concerned group of Vernon Vipers , maybe twelve, SAID THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE.... They went out on there own and generated and extra 600 fans. Vernon Let us do that again AND I will join your team to make us as new fan base to be proud of.. Because what is happening now ??? Nothing, IT is the same old, same old . With the right promo team who know.????

I totally agree! The Vipers marketing-PR is terrible. Other then the games on the local radio station and a write up from the last game in the local newspaper, if your not a Vipers game, you wont hear anything. Once the season ends, you hear nothing from or about the Vipers through out the entire summer. This is the time of year the Vipers marketing people should be out around town, trying to sell season tickets for next season, maybe setting up a stand somewhere around town, selling season tickets. Unless your at a game and hear about season tickets on sale, you have no idea. Get out in the public-community and try and get your fan base up. I understand the economy isn't great, most small towns the people don't have a lot of money, and with no fighting-rule changes, fans are being turned away, you still need to try and market the team better. Look at what the Penticton Vees have done. I remember there last few seasons in the old Memoorial Arena, they were getting just around 500 fans. They are averaging around 3000 these days. Yes they have an amazing rink and had some great teams over the past four-five years, but at one time the Vipers also were atop the league-winning Championships and playing in a fairly nice rink in Kal Tire Place and were never coming close to 3000 people per game. It would be great to have atleast 2500 a night at home games. The music is always the same, game after game, the same on-off ice promotions year after year, lets get with 2017 and change things up. Its getting stale.

Agree 100% with the above comments. What is the purpose of asst coach Kevin Pederson???? Can anyone tell us?

The Vipers program has Kevin Pederson listed as assistant coach-head scout. Pederson was a scout with the Vipers from 2008-2011 before moving on as a scout with the WHL Everett Silvertips before returning to Vernon in 2015.

Saturday 6PM start time is a huge bone of contention with the older fans & the fans who work on Saturdays. I know this issue has been raised with Viper Management/Ownership and the attitude is "too bad, not going to change". It is time the Vipers start listening to the people who pay their salaries. An excellent point above that they should get out and "sell their team" to the community. The Viper attendance is dropping more due to their attitudes than the bad economy. Quit acting like a charitable cause and start running this franchise like the privately owned business that it is. Having a nice arena like Penticton does not put butts in the seats, good hockey and good entertainment value does.
