Grizzlies Call Up Viper Alumni Robertson From Southern Professional Hockey League:

The East Coast Hockey League Utah Grizzlies have called up  former Vernon Vipers defenceman Sean Robertson.

Robertson was invited to the Grizzlies training camp in September, was released during camp before signing with the Grizzlies on a later date. Robertson was later released October 21 2016 before signing with the Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL) Fayetteville FireAntz. In 35 games this season with Fayetteville Robertson has 22 assists in 35 games while going pointless in 7 games with the Grizzlies.

Robertson played In 11 games with Merrimack College during the 2012-13 season before leaving for the University of Guelph. Robertson spent his first six seasons playing for the Victoria Grizzlies before being traded to Vernon in his final year of Junior hockey. On December 12th 2011 the Vipers traded Zach McPhee and future considerations to Victoria for Robertson.  In 31 games with the Vipers Robertson collected (0-goals-4-assists-4-points).

FireAntz’s Robertson, Porter take call-ups to ECHL teams

A pair of Fayetteville FireAntz players have been called up by ECHL teams, coach Jeff Bes announced Wednesday.

Defenseman Sean Robertson, who has played in 33 of the Antz’s 35 games this season, was called up by the Utah Grizzlies, based in a suburb of Salt Lake City. Utah is fifth in the ECHL’s Mountain division.

Left winger Chris Porter, who is fifth on the team with 24 points, was called up by Adirondack of Glens Falls, New York. The Thunder are third in the North division.

The FireAntz, who are in fourth place in the Southern Professional Hockey League at 22-12-1 (45 points) host league-leading Huntsville (26-7-3, 55) on Friday night at the Crown Coliseum.
