VIPERS HHOF – #35 Graeme Gordon – Former Vernon Viper goalie #35 Graeme Gordon becomes the 6th player to be inducted into the BCHL Vernon Vipers Highlight Hall Of Fame. Born and raised in North Vancouver, Gordon played with BCMML Vancouver Giants, before breaking into the BCHL with the now defunct Williams Lake Timberwolves in 2006-07. He would split the next season with the Salmon Arm Silverbacks and Merritt Centennials before being aquired by the Vernon Vipers in 2009.

2009 would be a special year for the 6’2″ goalie as he played back up to Andrew Hammond who went on to play with the Ottawa Senators and was also a Highlight Hall Of Fame inductee. That season Gordon would help the team win it’s 5th RBC Cup. The very next year he would win 30 games for the Snakes while leading them to their 6th National Championship in Dauphin, Manitoba.

Graeme Gordon was one of those goalies who could come up with a game changing save. Acrobatic, flexible and determined…you will see in these highlights that he never gave up on trying to stop a puck. When you see a six-foot plus goalie like Gordon do the splits its amazing the amount of real estate he would cover along the ice. Following his two years with the Snakes, he would go on to play with Simon Fraser University and now works in radio in Vancouver.

Congrats to the latest Vernon Viper alumnus who created a number of fantastic memories for Vernon fans eight years ago!
